PM to Address UN General Assembly on September 23

New York: The Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen will deliver a statement on the morning of September 23, 2022 at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations.

PM wrote on his Facebook page on the night of September 22: "After meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Director-General of UNDP, take the opportunity to listen to the statements of the Heads of State and Government at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations. I will speak tomorrow morning 23/9/2022 "

The 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) under the theme "A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges".

The General Assembly will be held from September 21 to 23, 2022 in New York City.

Prime Minister Hun Sen’s national statement will highlight Cambodia’s constructive role in supporting rule-based multilateralism, the coordinated fight against emerging global health threats, climate change, strengthening multilateral trade system, digital policies and the green economy, as well as Cambodia's ASEAN Chairmanship and efforts to mitigate the impacts of Covid-19 in order to sustain long-term socioeconomic growth.
